We ask for a minimum of three weeks’ notice for all Toots & Co. parties. This allows us to carefully prepare your party, personalise materials where required, and ensure we have the correct items, colours and embellishments ready for your chosen package. Each party is thoughtfully planned rather than rushed, and this preparation time helps us deliver a calm, organised and high-quality experience on the day.

Booking in advance also gives us the opportunity to talk through your child’s age, interests and group size, ensuring the activities are suitable and enjoyable for everyone attending. While we always do our best to accommodate enquiries, availability can be limited during busy periods such as weekends and school holidays, so early booking is recommended wherever possible.

Yes, we ask that a parent or responsible adult remains on-site for the duration of the party. Toots & Co. provides a fully hosted and guided creative experience, meaning we lead the activities, explain each step and support the children throughout the session. However, overall supervision and responsibility for the children remains with the parents or guardians present.

This approach helps maintain a safe, supportive and relaxed environment, particularly when working with creative materials and group activities. Parents are not expected to actively take part unless they wish to, and many choose to relax nearby while the party is underway.

Having a parent present also allows us to respond quickly to any individual needs, allergies or comfort requirements. Our goal is to create a stress-free celebration where children feel confident and parents feel reassured, knowing their child is enjoying a creative experience in a safe and familiar setting.

Everything needed for the creative activity is fully included in your Toots & Co. party. We bring all materials, tools, embellishments, clothing items (where applicable), setup equipment and hosting on the day. There’s no need for parents to source craft supplies, prepare activities or organise creative stations in advance.

Each party is designed to be as stress-free as possible. We arrive with a clear plan, set up the creative area, guide the children through the activity step by step, and ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. At the end of the party, children leave with their personalised creations, and we take care of tidying the creative space used.

You’ll simply need to provide the venue, a suitable table or surface if available, and any food or birthday cake you’d like to include separately. If you’re unsure about space or setup, we’re always happy to advise before the day.

Yes. For your peace of mind, Toots & Co. is DBS checked and holds public liability insurance. Children’s safety and wellbeing are extremely important to us, and we take our responsibilities seriously when working in homes and venues with young people.

Toots & Co. parties are designed for children aged 6 and above. At this age, children are generally able to follow instructions, enjoy creative decision-making and take pride in personalising items independently, while still benefiting from guided support.

We understand that every child is different, so our activities are paced thoughtfully and adapted where needed to suit varying confidence levels and group dynamics. Some children may dive straight into creating, while others prefer gentle encouragement and time to explore ideas. Our hosting style allows for both.

When you enquire, we’ll ask about your child’s age and the ages of guests attending so we can recommend the most suitable package. This ensures the experience feels enjoyable rather than overwhelming, and that each child leaves feeling proud of what they’ve created.

Toots & Co. is a mobile creative party service based in Maldon, Essex, and we currently cover locations within approximately a 40-minute drive of Maldon. This allows us to travel comfortably with all equipment and ensure we arrive on time, fully prepared and ready to set up without rushing.
